  4. The Sauce-Maker’s alibi: when the Chalice was stolen, she was preparing dinner with all the kitchen staff.
  5. She only knows what everyone else already knows about the Chalice: it is the ultimate symbol of the King’s love for and loyalty to Navarre.
  6. The Sauce-Maker does not appear to have any motive (financial or personal) for committing such a serious crime.
